The North Falmouth Elementary School Parent Teachers Organization, through the DPW Parks Department, requested $170,000 from the CPFund to rehabilitate two of its playgrounds for children. The School needed modern playground equipment to replace the thirty-year-old deteriorating wooden structures on the two playgrounds, which served children from six months to twelve years of age. The planned new equipment included a music panel, a large crawling tunnel, a spinner bowl, and rope nets for climbing.

The School was granted $57,500 in Community Preservation funds and parents began a fundraising campaign to obtain an additional $117,000. By March it had raised all but $30,000 of the amount needed and believed the remainder would be forthcoming soon enough that the playgrounds could be installed before the school year began in the fall of 2016. The funds came in as hoped and construction was scheduled for that summer.
